Beautiful september in Florence

Not so hot as in August, cool breeze refreshing during the ride, September is probably one of the best months to ride Florence by bike.
This afternoon we rode the whole city, from Piazzale Michelangelo to San Miniato a Monte church, the highest point of the city, then diving to the center and finally resting in Cascine park, on the grass in the shadows of big oaks.

Riding Artimino hill by ebike

Artimino is a nice tiny village on the top of Montalbano hill, 10 km out of Florence city center, where the Medici family established his holiday residence.

Another great ride in Florence

Today two guys from Atlanta are joining me to pedal through the history of Florence.
Talking about Florentine stories and about riding make us forget about the time, so we climb to the top of S. Maria a Monte church without effort.

Vintage bicycle tour through Chianti country

A couple of corageous english runners, two road racing bicycles from the 70's, a hilly road through the Chianti country.
Theese are the ingredients for a perfect day in the late spring in Tuscany.
Starting early morning from the hotel by car to get the starting point out of Florence, we can use all the day to ride the tuscan backcountry, with a stop at lunch time ti visit vineyards and wine cellars in one of the most famous farms in north Chianti.. and... of course reloading energy with tuscan food and red wine.
